People. Serve. Community. Care.

Seed the Future

Craft Organization provides hope & resources to our neighbors in the Mid-South region. We do this by providing food and clothing to families or individuals from the area. In addition, we offer training in agriculture and woodworking on-site at the farm.

Craft Farms

At Craft Farms, we provide healthy, locally grown vegetables to assist the community with a healthy eating lifestyle. We are an urban farm. We are a teaching and learning farm. Craft Farms focuses its efforts on three strategic foundations: education, community/economic development, and food access security. Individuals, companies, and organizations can support the farms in a myriad of ways, including donations and CSAs.

Craft Farms provides CSA opportunities where people can invest in the farm by purchasing products that help the farm to be able to continue to produce high-quality produce.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a farming model based on a relationship between the farmer and the patrons or supporters of the farm. Our CSAs provide an opportunity for seniors and low-income individuals and families to purchase food through our voucher program at The Farmers Market @ Craft Farms.

Sow Green… Sow Good…

Craft Farms teaches residents in our community how to grow, market, and distribute fresh produce in our greenhouse.

Co-Op Growers

One of the most difficult barriers to overcome for low-income residents who wish to begin farming is having the space to do so. Our Co-Op growers program provides aspiring gardeners an opportunity to grow their own produce on our 9-acre farm.

Youth Agriculture

Additionally, the greenhouse provides a place for children and youth to learn about farming and agriculture (Agribusiness) through summer programs, youth internships, and Agritourism. Individuals, organizations, and businesses can sponsor a resident in our 6-8 month program. Our Co-Op of growers will receive food from the vegetables they grow as well as recipes and tips on how to prepare healthy meals. Our goal is to assist 10 families per year (5 in the spring, 5 in the fall) to help eradicate hunger and poverty.

CraftMade

There are many products needed on the farm such as planters, raised beds, chicken coops, and fencing which require woodworking skills. We provide these products for farmers and individuals who would like to support us in our efforts. These products help Craft Farms to be more sustainable in providing education and training for the community. We have a variety of products such as bookends, picture frames, candleholders, spa boxes, and much more.

The Butiq

The Butiq @ Craft Farms has new and gently used apparel, shoes, and jewelry items to support our organization. We also provide clothing through our Clothes Pantry to our neighbors in need and/or experiencing homelessness or hunger. Business attire is provided to individuals who are interviewing for employment. Donations are accepted. The Butiq @ Craft Farms hosts a Christmas Store each year to help provide toys for the children during the Christmas season. Through our shopping experience, families are provided the opportunity to come into our store and shop at low costs. All toys are received from donations of companies, individuals, and organizations. The Butiq @ Craft Farms also supports the training and educational opportunities in woodworking and agriculture at Craft Farms.
